Ladies of the Lord

Ladies of the Lord was founded six years ago with the blessings of Msgr. Richard Nugent, of St. Bernadette’s Parish, in Orchard Park, who is Mrs. Curazzato’s Spiritual Director and Moderator of the Prayer Group. The group meets every second Thursday of each month in the “Upper Room” of The Ministry Building at St. Gregory the Great Church in Williamsville, New York. We invite people back to Our Lord through Prayer, Witnessing, and by Example and we are composed of conservative women who follow the directives of the Pope with humility and obedience.

MOTTO: “PRAYER NOT DESPAIR”

PATRONESS: Blessed Margaret of Castello, who was suggested by the Dominican Nuns on Doat Street. She is the patroness of the handicapped, blind And unloved.

AS MEMBERS WE:

  1. Promote Eucharistic Adoration and the Real Presence
  2. Witness to the Word and how Jesus affects our lives
  3. Daily Rosary
  4. Daily Mass whenever possible
  5. Do good deeds
  6. Give out Sacramentals, Rosaries, Blessed Medals, Scapulars
  7. Pray for our Lady’s intentions, the intentions of the Ladies of the Lord and for all the petitions in our Petition Book.

We pray one rosary (5 decades with meditations), one Divine Mercy Chaplet and a spiritual reading from the Diary of St. Faustina. These are offered for Priests, Peace and Personal Petitions which are added to our Petition book daily. The petitions are prayed for faithfully EVERY day by members and those who go to daily mass are encouraged to lift up all our Petitions at the Consecration during Mass which is a particularly powerful time! After prayer time we have ten minutes of announcements of upcoming events and presentations after which we have 30-45 minutes of fellowship.

On June 25th, 2004 the Blessed Mother gave the following message to the Visionaries in Medjugorje:

“Dear Children, Also today, joy is in my heart. I desire to thank you for making my plan realizable. Each of you is important, therefore, little children, pray and rejoice with me for every heart that has converted and become an instrument of peace in the world. PRAYER GROUPS ARE POWERFUL, and through them I can see, little children, that the Holy Spirit is at work in the World! Thank you for having responded to my call.”

Though our prayer group does good deeds in the community we are first and foremost a prayer group whose main focus and commitment is to Prayer! We unite all of our prayers for all of the intentions of the Ladies of the Lord and for all the Intentions mentioned in our Petition book. If you would like us to pray for a particular need or if you would like a free blessed medal please send a self addressed , stamped envelope to; Mrs. Trisha Maritato, 8195 Lisa Lane, East Amherst, NY 14051.
